Thomas James BAKER, son of Benjamin BAKER (c. 1870-c. 1927) and Ellenor LUDBROOK (c. 1872-c. 1962), was born on 25 October 1893 in North Lopham, Norfolk. He was baptised on 26 September 1897 in North Lopham - parents Benjamin (labourer) and Ellenor. No service record has been found for Thomas. Everything known has been sourced from the CWGC website. Thomas died on 5 May 1915 in France - died of wounds. He is buried/commemorated at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission grave registration entry for Thomas was “BAKER, Pte. T. J., 15570. 9th Bn. Norfolk Regt. 5th May, 1916. Age 22. Son of Benjamin Baker, of North Lopham, Thetford, Norfolk.”
